Science for the People Thailand began as a local Thai Group Movement, focusing on social awareness and community action in science. We soon became part of a larger group—SftP—engaging with more and more people, adding more and more supporters, and amplifying more and more voices.
Science for the People Thailand leads campaigns that promote real solutions to some of the biggest challenges faced by society. We challenge the notion that the way things are is the way things should always be, and are proud to be a force for positive transformation.
Mission
Science for the People Thailand (SftPT) is an organization aimed at working at the roots of society to tackle controversial topics. SftPT aims to advocate the implementation of science in ethical ways and promote access to science, rejecting discrimination in all its forms. Additionally, SftPT aims to galvanize support in the community on topics like environmental pollution and spreading science to the underprivileged in hopes to benefit society. Finally, SftPT aims to "normalize” the current radical scientific ideas.
Vision
Science for the People Thailand hopes to spread across Thailand to form a better, more just society through numerous programs and campaigns. SftPT aspires to change and transform the fundamental role science plays in Thai society, securing a national voice. SftP seeks to form radical scientists for a nourished, healthy, and secure society.
